Ingredients
  • 1 kg Mutton
  • 1 kg Shaljam(Turnip)
  • 3/4 cup Oil
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Onion(medium sliced)
  • 1 Tomato(large sliced)
  • 2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Black Cardamom
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • Green Chillies
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a wok, add ginger garlic paste saute for 2-3 minutes add mutton and cook until color changes.
  2. Add sliced onion, black cardamom, sliced tomato, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt mix well and cook for few minutes on medium flame.
  3. Then add sliced shaljam(turnip) mix well and cook for few minutes on medium flame.
  4. Add water(4 glass or as required) mix well cover & cook on medium low flame until meat & turnip tender and water reduced.
  5. Cook on high flame until oil separates.
  6. Add garam masala powder, green chillies and fresh coriander leaves.
  7. Delicious Shaljam Gosht Ka Salan is ready to serve with tandoori roti & rice.
